Michael Rahsaan

Michael Rashaan brings more than 15 years of experience in mortgages and business development, offering deep expertise in home lending, market trends, and client guidance. Before joining Columbia Bank, he built a strong foundation in finance through roles in title and escrow, marketing, and business development. Raised in Northeast Portland, Michael’s lifelong connection to the community gives him a nuanced understanding of local neighborhoods and housing dynamics—an advantage his clients value throughout their homebuying journey.

As a Community Lending Officer at Columbia Bank, Michael oversees the entire lending process from the first conversation to closing day. He specializes in a wide range of home loan products, including conventional mortgages, first-time buyer programs, and jumbo loans. Over the years, he has developed a particular strength in supporting first-time buyers and self‑employed clients, driven by his commitment to making lending more transparent and less intimidating. Known for his attention to detail, proactive communication, and ability to simplify complex financial concepts, Michael builds lasting relationships by listening closely, advocating for client goals, and offering thoughtful solutions when challenges arise.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys staying active, spending weekends with his family, relaxing at his cabin along the McKenzie River, and experimenting with new grilling recipes. A devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, he brings the same enthusiasm to his personal passions as he does to his career. Deeply committed to his community, he volunteers with the UNCF Portfolio Project, supports Portland high school students with college and financial aid preparation, and participates in Oregon’s NAREB chapter to help address inequities in housing.
