Bank impersonation warning

Scammers are posing as banks to trick individuals into sharing login credentials over the phone or via links in texts or legitimate-looking emails. They often claim suspicious activity or tell you approvals are needed and request usernames, passwords or one-time passcodes.

Oftentimes these scammers use a spoofed number, so the calls and texts appear they are from the bank.

Columbia Bank will never contact you to ask you for your username, password or security codes – either over the phone or via a link. If you receive a suspicious call, text or email, contact us immediately.
